The Taylor is a full 55 inches wide by 45 inches tall, and features the Ascent 33-inch electric insert. The Ascent series is dual-voltage, so it can connect to 120 or 240 volts, for a heating range of 400 to 800 square feet.
Design Tip: Cut away the baseboards so that you can push the Taylor mantel right against the wall, for a more custom appearance.
Amantii Cube

The Amantii Cube is part of the Tru-View 3-sided fireplace family. This means that it has glass on the front and sides. It has been designed to be super-versatile. It may be built-in, like other Tru-View models, or wall-hung. To make it freestanding, Amantii offers 2 accessory options: a 4-legged base or a Bluetooth speaker base. With the 4-legged base, you get the effect of a modern woodstove. The speaker base is very sleek and perfectly fitted to the Cube. It’s also higher than the 4-legged base, giving the Cube a bigger presence in the room. You can stream your favourite music on the speaker, making the Cube multi-functional and perfect for tight spots. Note: While the Cube is indoor-outdoor rated, the accessory items are not.
Design Tip: Place the Cube on a narrow wall where the vertical nature of the design will be enhanced.
Amantii Lynwood Cast Iron Stove

For those who are looking for a fireplace for a casual or rustic space, of who just want to add a rustic element to a modern space, there’s a pair of cast iron stoves from Amantii. The Lynwood family comes in 2 sizes: E50 is more petite, at 23 inches wide by 28 inches high by 17 inches deep; E70 is larger, at 28 inches wide by 28 inches high by 17 inches deep. Both feature cast iron sides and top, for true woodstove authenticity. These stoves come in any colour you like, as long as it’s black. Popular birch logs come standard, and there are many other media kits that can be purchased separately, including ice crystal packages. If you prefer that things not get too traditional, flames change colour from yellow to orange to blue; canopy lighting casts 13 different colours onto the logs.
Design Tip: Position the stove close to floor level, to minimize the view of the heater at the bottom of the unit, and keep the emphasis on the fire.
Napoleon Stylus

It’s a toss-up whether or not we should include the Napoleon Stylus family as freestanding electric fireplaces. They are designed to mount to the wall, but you could also place them on a half-wall or table. Cara is the original Stylus, designed as an asymmetrical white cabinet with black accents. Steinfeld is the more traditional of the Stylus family, in burnished walnut finish. Both feature open hearth designs, with crystals and birch logs exposed. Like all Napoleon electric fireplaces, flames change colour from yellow to orange to blue, or a combination of these. There is a nifty USB charging port for your devices, and a side shelf with accent lighting, for displaying your treasures.
Design Tip: Be careful about centering a TV or art above the asymmetrical Cara. Embrace the asymmetry and go a little off-center.
